In addition to in-person sessions, I also offer online therapy by video conference and by phone to clients located anywhere in California. For those whose schedules or location make it difficult to come to my office, online therapy can be a great option.

Online therapy is the practice of psychotherapy offered via audio or video communication. For video sessions, I use a free, easy to use video-conferencing system called Doxy.me. You don't need to download anything or create an account. Most importantly, it's secure and HIPAA compliant (unlike Skype). For video therapy you will need a web cam and a high-speed Internet connection.

Because of state laws regulating psychotherapy, I can only provide online therapy to clients who reside in California. Online therapy is not always as effective as in-person therapy in some situations. In some cases it is best to combine online therapy with some in-person sessions. Other problems are treated very effectively with online therapy alone. If I determine that you would benefit from another form of therapy or specialist, I will try my best to provide you with a referral. My fees for online therapy are the same as for in-person therapy and payment must be made in advance.

If you are interested in online therapy, or have additional questions about this service, please give me a call at (510) 788-0006 or send me a message using the form on this page.
